It computes positions accurate to within fractions of a degree, and this is the level of precision we use at Astro Transit Academy.
Major aspect orbs follow standard conventions in transit astrology, with appropriate orb values for each planet's speed and influence. The specific orb values used are documented in our transit orbs guide. Minor aspects (quincunx, semi-sextile and sesquisquare) are only flagged when they fall within 1 degree of exact, the threshold at which their influence registers meaningfully.
Accurate birth time is important for reliable results, particularly for Ascendant and Midheaven calculations, and we recommend using your exact recorded birth time. The Placidus house system is used, the most widely adopted system in Western astrology.
Calculator accuracy is verified against established ephemeris tables and cross-referenced with professional astrology software. Planetary position calculations are tested across multiple date ranges to ensure consistent precision.
